Eastern Glass Resources was incorporated in 1986 by glass veteran Phil Fisher. Phil spent his whole life in the glass business learning and working for his father Jerry Fisher – founder/owner of Boss Glass.
When Jerry decided to retire, Phil went out on his own and started operations at EGR working out of a 7,000 square foot building in East Newark. The company started as a converter, cutting glass into smaller sizes, and packing 50 square foot boxes for the picture frame and hardware industries. Shortly after, they began to distribute flat glass to the glass shops.
As Eastern Glass began to grow, they moved into a 42,000 square foot facility in Harrison, New Jersey where the company still resides today. They later opened up a second facility in Amityville, New York.
Today, the Fisher family continues to strengthen its roots as Phil’s son Max joined the business in 2015. For them the philosophy remains the same today – to continue to reinvest back into the business with the latest state of the art technology and to grow for the next generations to come. The employees are at the forefront and each and every one of them takes great pride in their work. Eastern Glass values the trust our customers place in us and we’re committed to 100% customer satisfaction.
